Convention Center Protocols

The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is open at 100% occupancy.  As of August 10, 2021, the City of San Antonio announced that it will follow the current CDC recommendations to require all individuals, age 2 and above, regardless of vaccination status to wear masks indoors in all its public facilities. Their number one priority, along with our 2021 partner hotels, remains the health and safety of all conference guests and attendees. They will continue with many protocols established over the last year to ensure their facilities are clean and safe for our return. Review their full reopening, safety, and cleanliness plans below.

Health and Safety FAQs

What is Psych Congress’ mask policy?

Psych Congress is excited to bring professionals together again. As we gather, we must do so wisely, remembering our responsibility to each other and to our patients. Consistent with the City of San Antonio, all meeting participants are required to wear masks. Masks may be removed for eating and drinking. Faculty may remove their masks when delivering their presentations.

Will social distancing be implemented?

Psych Congress encourages attendees to spread out when possible. Please refrain from handshakes and embracing as an extra precaution and continue to follow all CDC guidelines. Consider using digital alternatives to share contact information. Ample hand sanitizer stations will be available; please wash your hands often, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or elbow, and stay home if you are sick.

How will meeting rooms be set up?

Meeting rooms will have a combination of classroom, banquet and theater seating depending on the session. When possible, extra seats will be set in the meeting rooms so that attendees have the flexibility to spread out at the tables and chairs in the session rooms to the extent to which they are comfortable.

Will live streaming be available?

Psych Congress is being offered virtually if you are unable to travel. Explore our 2021 Online Passes.
